Happy Children’s Dental Health Month!

Since 1981, the month of February has been recognized by the American Dental Association (ADA) as National Children’s Dental Health Month. Originating as a single day program in 1949, it was expanded to aid in increasing oral health awareness and promoting healthy smiles for kids. Silver Diamine Fluoride

A new way to approach oral health has arrived to the United States in recent years – silver diamine fluoride (SDF). While the use of SDF in the United States is fairly recent, with it only being on the U.S. market since April 2015, it has been used in other counties such as Germany, China and Japan for over 80 years in the treatment of tooth decay.
